The Kitting function is found on Build Tasks for IPS
KITTING tasks will have part needs, kit pick lists, and will result in picked kits being posted.
1. Go to the Task and click on the Kitting Icon.
2. In order for a user to set the task status of a KITTING task to complete:
3. All Part Needs must be canceled or consumed.
4. All non-canceled needed parts (kits) must be picked.
5. All picked parts must be packaged.
5.1. In other words, all kits must be posted, and all part needs must be consumed or canceled.
6. When all non-canceled part needs have been picked and consumed, and all kits have been posted, then the task should complete automatically.
6.1. As a kit is posted, the part need on a Build task gets allocated, and that task goes from Hold/WMAT to Ready for Execution, so there is no need for a task status change when the KITTING task is completed.
6.2. The Work Order Sub-Status will be moved to READY TO BUILD.
If, after the Task is complete, you need to add a Note or an Attachment, that is possible.
