| What are the shipping options available on the ATS Store?

Updated on

Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.

In this article, we will cover the shipping options that you might see when shopping on the ATS Store.  The options that are available to you are dependent upon two things:  The Account setup and the Product set up in Salesforce.

1. Log in to your account.  If you have not created an account, and need instruction, see the following article:

2. We have added a part to our cart:   Model number 63-00740, which is an EATON KEYPAD FOR 3985K.

3. When we go to the checkout, we can see every shipping option that is available.

This is because there is a specific weight entered in the Product record in Salesforce.

Alert:  If there is NO WEIGHT currently established for the item, the default UPS ground fee of $26.95 will be displayed

4. Ship on My Account allows us to charge the shipping charges to the customer's UPS account.  This must be set up in advance on the account in both Big Commerce and Salesforce.

4.1. If the Ship on My Account Option is available, the customer's default shipping account will be displayed  and should NOT be changed.

4.2. If there are specifics that about how the customer wants to see something shipped, s/he can enter them in the comments.

5. In this case, you have the option for a 2-Day Shipping option through UPS.  This is because there is a specific weight listed in Salesforce for the product.

6. The Ship by Weight Option is $26.95.  This flat fee is the default charge if a product does not have weight detailed out on the product record.

Whether the customer is purchasing one item or ten, the $26.95 fee is only charged once per order.

7. Because there is a specific weight on the product, you will see a charge for the UPS Next Day Air fee.

As seen in 4.2, The customer has the ability to enter comments before moving on to the billing section of the order.

Free Shipping

A few of our customers qualify for Free Shipping.  If this is one of those customers, when they go to checkout, they will have the option when they come to the check out page.

When the order receipt posts, it shows the shipping as "Free".

The order in Big Commerce designates that the customer has been given Free Shipping as well.

This allows you to differentiate between a zero charge for Ship on Company account.
