Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.
Before moving on to this document, you must have completed first 4 articles in this series: Getting Started, Searching, Quotes, and Discounts & Pricing Waterfall.
1. At this point, you are in the Quote Record screen. On the Quote Record screen, you can make further quote edits and adjustments that were not in QLE.
2. The following key fields allow you to make these adjustments:
a. Primary Contact (not shown): Defaults in from the Account where the quote was created, but can be overridden (this is who the quote document is addressed to).
b. Notes: These are customer facing and will appear on the quote document.
c. Internal Notes: These are for internal purposes and will not be on the quote.
d. Bill To Account: Enter to override the Billing Information Section.
e. Ship To Account: Enter to override the Shipping Information Section.
NOTE: Bill To and Ship To information defaults in with the address from the account where the ‘Quick Quote’ was created.
Buttons
At the top of the quote record, there are several buttons that will do different things.
Edit Lines: Returns to the QLE to add products, adjust quantities, prices, line details.
Edit: Edit all fields on the quote.
Delete: Delete the quote.
Preview Document: Open the quote to view what will be sent to the customer.
Include Document: Use to upload a PDF document from your computer to the quote to be sent to the customer (i.e. spec sheet, contract, etc.).
Clone: Creates a clone of the quote, but does not include quote lines.
Clone with Related: Creates a clone of the quote with the quote lines and all details.
Submit for Approval: All quotes will be submitted for approval to prevent unauthorized large discounts
