This example takes you through how you would modify the quote if the quote was for two items and the customer decides against having line 2 repaired.
Here is view of the Opportunity, which is where the quote is housed.
Click on the opportunity and get this view.
You can see this opportunity was for a total of $2586.40. Over to the right, you can view what’s on that quote within this opportunity. It is two repairs; one for $1386.40, and one for $1200.
In this example, we will say customer has decided to only send the first line in for repair. He does not want to send the second line in anymore.
1. Click on the quote “Q-00191”
2. Now we have to cancel this original quote. Under “Status”, choose “Rejected” from drop-down.
3. Scroll down to the “Quote lost detail” drop-down and choose the reason.
3.1. If “Other” is used for “Quote Lost Reason”, you will be prompted to type in a reason under “Quote Lost Detail”
3.2. Hit “Save”
Now your original quote, Quote# 191 has been canceled/rejected. Next you need to re-create the quote and leave off the line customer no longer wants to send in.
4. In the same screen, click on “Clone w Related”
5. Click on “Clone”.
This will give you an entirely new Quote #. Our new Quote number is now 217 and Quote# 191 is now rejected.
6. Click on “Edit Lines.”
7. Since you already cloned the lines from the original quote that has been rejected, we can now “trash’ the lines no longer needed. Click the Trashcan Icon.
Now the second line no longer needed will have been removed and your quote will be accurate.
8. Click “Save”
