Steps in the screenshots correspond to the numbers in the headings.
Before moving on to this document, you must have completed the first 2 documents of this series: Getting Started and Searching, which walk you through how to access accounts and find the product(s) you wish to quote.
1. After ensuring a contact exists (refer to “Getting Started”), return to the account and click on the ‘Details’ tab. Review specific information for this account such as Account Name, Site, Address, and contains the ‘Discount Multipliers’ for this specific Account/Site.
These discount multipliers apply to this specific account/site and Quick Quotes should be created from the site where the quote is going so these discounts will be applied on the quote. More information on discounts is provided in a later course.
2. Click on ‘Quick Quote’.
Clicking on the ‘Quick Quote’ button does a couple of things in the background such as creating an Opportunity (for forecasting) and defaulting some Quote field data (with account address, etc.).
3. You will initially land on the ‘Product Selection Screen’. Refer to the course, The ATS Quoting Guide- Searching to find the product(s) you want to quote.
4. After you find the product/products that you want to quote, add them by clicking on the square on the far left side, then ‘Select’ to go to the Quote Line Editor Screen(QLE) or ‘Select & Add More’ to remain on the product selector screen to search for and add additional products.
5. The Quote Line Editor (QLE) Screen contains quite a bit of information. The prior screen we found and added the products we wanted, while the QLE is where we can enter quote specific information, such as ‘Shipping Method’ and ‘PO#’, update individual quote line quantities, enter line notes, and apply discounts and more.
a. In the Top Section are Quote Header details
b. Lower/Mid-section contains individual quote lines.

6. On the quote line, there’s a field called ‘Notes’ where if you hover over, a pencil icon will appear which if you click on, a rich text editor will popup. These notes will appear on the quote document later.
7. Enter the notes you wish, then ‘save’. Notes are optional and do not have to be entered.
