8.3 How do I clone a Capability and Sourcing Request?

Updated on

You can access the Capability and Sourcing Request from either the Top Menu...

or from the Sourcing-Customer Service Dashboard under NEW Requests.

Before cloning, make sure that an account is assigned to the Request.

1. Click on Clone in the upper right-hand corner.

2. Under the Parent Request Field, click on the magnifying glass and find the original Capability Request form number.

3. Scroll down past the Options Requested (that is merely showing you what the customer originally requested on the form -- leave as is.)

In this case, the customer/SSR requested New/Refurbished and Surplus.

4. Under the Options to be Priced/Sourced, click on the drop-down and select just one of the four options:  New, Repair, Refurbished or Surplus.  Notice that in this case, Surplus and Refurbished are separated.

Notice that in this case, Surplus and Refurbished are separated.

5. Click SAVE to add just this one, or SAVE and NEW if you want to Clone Multiple.

Please note:  It is important that the Parent C&S Request is entered on each.  If you enter it on the first clone, and then clone that request, the Parent will copy over to others.  At that point, all you should need to change is the Options to be Priced/Sourced.
